Videos on the Gospel and Baptizing Babies
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”” (Romans 1:16-17, ESV)
Nothing is more important for the well-being of your immortal soul than the gospel of Jesus Christ, for the biblical gospel is God’s answer to that all-important question once posed by the Philippian jailer to the Apostle Paul and his missionary companion Silas: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30, ESV)
Likewise, while not as important to our eternal well-being, the question of whether the sacrament of holy baptism should be applied to professing believers in Christ only, or whether it should also be applied to the children of such professing believers, is a highly controversial question in the church today which divides sincere, Bible-believing Christians.
As part of Lake OPC’s online outreach we are seeking to add a variety of new videos to the video page of our church website. Because of the importance of both the gospel message and the issue of believers-only versus infant baptism, we have recently added two additional videos on our church website dealing with these subjects: “What is the Gospel?” and “Why Baptize Babies?”
