I was raised in a church-going family, and came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ while in high school. During my high school and college years I began to discern a call to the ministry. I received my Bachelor (B.A.) degree in Religious Studies from the College of Wooster (Wooster, OH), where I met my wife, Sharon; and I received my Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary (South Hamilton, MA). After seminary I served briefly as a pastoral intern at an OPC congregation in southern New Jersey, and then I served for over 15 years as the pastor of an OPC congregation near the Jersey shore. In 2012 I was called to serve as the pastor of Lake Presbyterian Church. I enjoy reading theology, am a loyal fan of the Canadian band Rush, and enjoy jogging, hiking, playing the guitar, participating in the rich cultural life offered by Cleveland (the Cleveland Orchestra, the Art Museum, etc.), and especially spending time with my family. I’m excited to be living in the Cleveland area, and feel honored by the privilege of serving as the pastor of Lake Orthodox Presbyterian Church, one of the few biblically-presbyterian congregations of northeast Ohio!
