WHAT TO EXPECT

At Lake Presbyterian Church we seek to worship God in a manner that is informed by
Scripture and which reflects that reverence, awe and joy which is required when a
creature approaches God the Creator. Because we are serious about worship, our
worship services are God-centered, reverent, and simple.

What does this mean in terms of our actual worship practice? When you visit a worship
service of Lake Presbyterian Church you will experience a service which is saturated
with Scripture readings, the offering of earnest prayer, the singing of psalms and great
hymns of the faith which have stood the test of time, and the faithful preaching of Godʼs
Word. The central event of our worship service is the preaching of Godʼs Word, through
which God feeds, nourishes, and builds up his people by the mouthpiece of his ordained
servant.

We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to join with us in holy worship. Adults
and young people, infants and “seasoned saints,” young adults and the middle aged,
people of various nationalities — all belong together in the Divine service, for all
believers are one in Christ (Gal. 3:28). Therefore you will find at Lake Presbyterian
Church a congregation which is multigenerational and diverse, yet united in its
confession of faith in Christ.
